Bottom of Toledo Bend
The water in Toledo Bend Lake was so low it exposed the bottom to reveal lots
of trees and stumps which I found very interesting. I would have loved to
be able to bring some of the pieces home with me. Maybe next
time we visit we'll take the truck.

Crabs For Gabe
Summer is going to be here very soon. That's a very special time for Rog and Gabe.
Fishing and crabbing at the Point has become a "thing" for the two of them.
Rog was more upset about the start of school last year than Gabe was.
It was like he lost his best friend. He hunts with his dad and
fishes and crabs with his grandfather. What a wonderful way for
a little boy to grow up.

Just Me and Them
The boys were fascinated with my old tripod and remote. Each wanted to
take a picture using the remote but the catch was they wanted me
in the picture with them. I'm not in very many (for a good reason) I couldnt
tell them no. Then Rog showed up and that was the end of that.

Annual St. Dizier Good Friday Crawfish Boil
Gabe and Alex tormenting the crawfish
It took Eli a few minutes to get these critters to cooperate with him
I think the crawfish win this battle with Alex

First Swim of the Summer
Eli talked Alex into jumping into the pool behind him. It was so cute to
watch them holding hands and counting down the jump.
The well planned leap.
Alex tried to change his mind but Eli would have none of that. Eli hung onto Alex for
dear life and went off the board with Alex in tow.
Eli went in feet first and Alex went in---well you can see how he broke the water's surface.
Both came up sputtering and laughing.
FYI: The wind was blowing and the water was freezing. These little boys are made
of steel. They walked to the water's edge and jump in. Never once did either
one of them mention being cold even though they were turning purple.
