It had been ages since I had seen Claire's high school friends and their babies. I figured if I cooked they would come. Needless to say, I was right. That was the beginning of the Mothers & Babies Annual Luncheon. The girls enjoyed it so much, they decided this had to be our new tradition. Of course, I was glad to oblige.
Rice and gravy HAD to be on the menu. On menu was pork roast (requested by Bonnie White McDonald), rice & gravy, smothered corn, white beans, a huge green salad, and hot bread. Amber Gonsoulin Robert brought the most delicious white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. To die for!!!!
After all the festivities were over, I needed to sit for a minute. Well, that little sit-down turned into a much needed two hour power nap. It's no fun getting old.
